Welcome to the Rovers Ski Team website!
This site is for the ski racers of the Rovers Ski Race team based at Nashoba Valley in Westford, MA - and their parents, coaches and friends. I hope it is also useful to those who want to find out about Rovers and the wonderful sport of alpine ski racing! Rovers ski racers compete in the Tri-State organization within the USSA as well as in many open races, usually in NH.
The picture on the left (courtesy of Ann Antes) is a shot of most of the race team and two coaches from the 2008/2009 season!

Eastern Tri-State sanctions three series of races to determine athlete eligibility for the Eastern Tri-State J3 Championship quota and the J4 Championship quota. The three (3) races will offer a total of eight (8) qualifying runs. Each run is scored individually plus combined at one event (Wachusett GS) for a total of nine (9) scores. The nine scores are ranked and the best five (5) out of nine scores,
including at least one (1) GS score, are used to determine qualification for a championship quota slot. The eight qualifying runs will consist of six (6) slalom runs and two (2) giant slalom runs.
Pez and I have updated the calendar to include information you need to register for the races in each individual event record. When you view the full calendar you also have the option to filter by J1/J2 events or J3/4/5 events - or show all of them.
Please PM me (simonw) asap if you have problems or don't understand how to use the calendar.
