Hey everyone i know its a lot later but thanks for cheering me on at champs it was so much fun!! And I cant wait for the end of the year party at our house!! Here at Nashoba Valley your child will have the unique opportunity to work with a superior coaching staff certified by the United States Skiing Association. Our coaches are well-educated, enthusiastic, supportive and skilled motivators who are looking forward to bringing out the best in your child. Many of our coaches attended updated training this year offered through USSA.
Head Coach Bob Zimmerman – Coach Zimm has coached at Nashoba since the1993/94 season (15 years). Prior to coaching at Nashoba, he was Headmaster of the National Sports Academy at Lake Placid, a boarding school for elite winter athletes, particularly alpine skiers and hockey players.
Coach Joe Peznola – Coach Pez started coaching with the Rovers in 1999. He is USSA Level 100 certified coach and a Certified Race Referee. He is working toward his Level 200 Certification, recently attending a Tactics Clinic sponsored by USSA. Coach Pez raced for the University of Lowell back in the 80s.
Coach Christian Eberiel - Coach Christian has been a coach at Nashoba for the past five seasons. He has worked at Nashoba since 1993. Christian raced for Westford Academy. He is currently working at his Level 100 Coaching Certification from USSA.
Coach Paul Fletcher - Coach Fletcher has been ski racing for 32 of the 37 years he has been skiing. He is a former Tri-State and Dual County Champion. He raced for Plymouth State from 1989 to 1992. Paul has five years coaching experience at Tenney Mountain, Waterville Valley and here at Nashoba. He has his USSA Level 100 Coach Certification.
Coach Sally Nelson
Sally has been coaching ski racers at Nashoba for years. Sally has also been teaching fitness since 1988. Coach Nelson is a Certified Personal Trainer with the Aerobics and Fitness Associaton of America.
Coach Emily Zimmerman
Emily joins our coaching staff this year after a successful collegiate ski racing career at UMass Amherst. Emily was aslo a Rover from 2000 to 2005.
Coach Robert Dolins
Robert is a new coach with Rovers this year, but in no way in new to Nashoba. He started racing career with Nashoba Valley in 1995 and raced for Rovers up until 2003. Coach Dolins then raced for Waterville Valley BBTS from 2003-2009. He is a former Duel County All-Star and DCL Champion. He has worked for the Nashoba valley race department for the last two years. He is also a USSA Alpine Official.
Coach Jenna Barr
Race Director Sallie Kent – Sallie has been the Race Director at Nashoba since 2000. She holds various certifications from USSA. Sallie spent two years at Steamboat in Colorado after college teaching skiing.
